For quite a while I’ve been searching for pricing on the Cisco Nexus 1000v switch for ESX vSphere 4.0. Today I had some success at the Cisco booth at TechED. It’s licensed on a per-socket basis like ESX licenses. They sell various packs which give you slight cost breaks.
The packages prices are listed below, followed by the yearly maintenance:
1 socket: $695, $174
4 sockets: $2,795, $695
16 sockets: $10,775, $2,780
32 sockets: $21,375, $5,560
